QUICK GUIDE TO LIST ITEMS FOR BID: (You must first join us free before you can list items for sale) 1) Log-in 2) Click the link that says "CLICK HERE TO GO TO YOUR MAIN NAVIGATION SCREEN". 3) Click the link midway down your navigation screen on the left hand side is a link that reads "Add, Edit, or View your items that you want to sell." 4) The very next screen you see reads "You have successfully connected. Please use the navigation buttons at the top of your screen...". Up at the top of the screen are buttons saying add, search, modify. Click add to add a new item. Click modify or search to edit or view existing items. 5) Add your item, and follow the instructions. After submitting the item and confirming it, just use the add button at the top of the page to add the next item. Adding each item is a 3 click process - add, submit, confirm. Make sure you use the terms "make bid, best offer, negotiable, etc." in the price field.. Also, set the item as negotiable under the "Is the price negotiable for this item?" field. 6) Follow similar steps to build your sellers page, and add categories to it. At the very least, you should add your sellers terms, contact info on the seller's home page. You should also set the field that asks if you negotiate.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS/INFO:

1) Is it free to use the Unlimitus Marketplace and Exchange? It is completely free to browse, buy, sell, and use our service. We only charge optional fees for extras, above-and-beyond the basic services. (For example, premium item listings, upgrades to seller status, listing extensions, advertising, having us hand upload bulk items/catalogs, etc..). You must Join free to sell items throught our service.

2) Is it free to list items for sale or trade? It is completely free to list items in our Marketplace.

3) Does Unlimitus charge commissions on sales/trades of items? No. We do not charge commissions or fees on the sale of the item to the buyer, nor to the seller. It is completely free.

4) What do I need to do to sell/trade my stuff? 3 easy steps. 1) Join us free. 2) Log-in to your account and modify your seller's page to at least include contact information and sales terms. 3) Add your item(s). Additionally, you will probably want to use some of our other features like adding hot links of your product categories to your seller's page, using sales announcements, etc.

5) Can I relist my item? Yes, there is no restrictions to relisting your item(s). You may relist as often as you want, as long as you don't have the same item listed more than once at the same time, and you adhere to our normal terms of use.

6) Does Unlimitus provide tools for relisting expired items? Sorry, we don't do that. ***Listings close after 60 days under our basic free listing plan. You may upgrade your seller's status for a small fee to have longer listing times. After an item closes, the data is no long able to be used. If you wish to extend a listing, you must give us 10 days notice to guarantee it will be extended. Once an item has expired, you will need to relist it by hand. There are two methods to prevent this: 1) You may pay a small fee to extend the closing dates of all items you haven't marked to expire. 2) You may upgrade your seller's status. This makes all future listings open longer for the duration of your upgraded seller's status. Additionally, under the status description, listings already on file will be extended when your status is upgraded.

7) If everything is free, how does your Marketplace make money? Optional paid extras (listing extensions, premium listings, status upgrades, etc.), advertising, creative partnerships with outside businesses/sites, manual work (uploading sellers catalogs into our marketplace, etc.), etc.

8) Is there any limit to the number of items I can list for sale? Not at this time, as long as you adhere to our terms of use. Long term, we may adjust this, but there are no plans in the near future.

9) I am a new seller, and I want to use my Seller's home page like a store front or index page of my catalog - what next? This is a very powerful free feature for you to use. After completing each appropriate section, we suggest adding as many accurate categories to your home page as possible (think of it as an index page to a catalog of your items). Don't add empty categories to it. Keep those categories up to date (remember, they are direct links to only your products in that category). Add your items, and submit each item to any categories that they would accurately fall under. Each item may be submitted to more than one category, so long as it is done responsibly. Finally, promote the URL of your seller's page. Promote it to friends via email, promote in related communities you belong to (don't spam), link to it from your own website if you have one, promote it off line, even on your own business cards. The most successful on-line sellers use this tactic (use your Seller's home page as a centralized location to promote your items).

Another neat trick is to use your "Sales announcements" section. Use it to announce sales you are having. Your sales announcement message will show on your seller's home page, across the top of every item you are selling, and in other areas of our site we may designate for this purpose. This is a fantastic way to sell more of your items by offering discounts for larger orders, or announce big sales.

10) What role does Unlimitus play in the transaction? We take absolutely no part in any of the transactions. We simply provide the tools and place for you to list items for sale as a seller, or to view/browse the listings as a buyer. We are not responsible in any way for the actual transaction between the buyer and the seller.

11) I want to use my store logo on my store front, and/or a picture of my item with my item listing - how do I do this? Well, we've got good news, and bad news. The good news is we do support this. When you modify your seller's home page, it has an area where you can provide the URL of your image. Each item you list also has the option to provide the URL of an image/photo, etc.. Here's the bad news: We do not currently offer storage for your images. This means you need to find an alternative location to store your images on the web, then provide the URL (address) of the actual image that you want to use here. For example, let's say you want to provide a photo of a comic book you are selling in our marketplace. You would need to find another site on the web that stores your images. There are many free sites that offer this, including free home page/free website providers. Your image will be assigned a specific URL (address) such as http://www.freeimagestorage.com/useraccount/image1.jpg , This is the URL you will provide on your item listing. You can often just view the image from your browser, then copy the URL out of the address bar.

We understand that it takes a bit more work for you to do this process, but once you figure it out, it's pretty simple. Most free image storage areas will allow many images to be stored, so once you get an account with a free image storage site, you can use it for all of your listings. We apologize for the inconvenience, however, it is far, far more cost effective for us - which is important for a free marketplace. It also keeps the marketplace running faster.

12) You can use our free Item and sales promotions message board - Use this board to announce items you are selling, or sales you are having. All announcements here must be for items/sales you are doing in the Unlimitus Free Marketplace (no ebay, amazon, etc.).

13) Listing items for bid/bidding on items tips: Use the item listing, and your seller's home page to explain what you want to do. If you will accept trades or cash, make that known. Make sure your contact information is clear so potential bidders can email you with their offers. It is also helpful to give them a range on each listing.
