[posted December 13, 2007]

  •  We rebuilt our website over the past week or so to only display items that are in stock. We removed fullfillment type items. We also improved the search results so customers can buy items directly from search results, or choose to view more details about an item (and see similar items), and buy from that page as well. Overall this improved our site navigation, and made it easier for customers to find and buy the items they are looking for. Another benefit from this setup is that we can now upload our inventory much quicker to the website. Speaking of which... we will soon (2-3 weeks) be adding a major upload of new material - this will be one of our best uploads to date.

[posted October 17, 2007]

   •     We also continued to improve the overall feel/look/function of our website. We have speant a good amount of time during the past month and a half setting up our Ebay Store and other outlets. We will be using our Ebay Store as an extra outlet to sell our comic book material, as well as an efficient way to set up sales, auction listings, and to help us move different kinds of items/packages. Stay tuned - we will be integrating our Ebay Store into our existing website to give our current users access to more sales, and our auction items. In the first couple weeks of uploading inventory to our Ebay Store and other outlets, we've already sold an Amazing Spider-man (1963) #1, a Strange Tales #110, X-Men 1 (1963), Incredible Hulk 180 &181, Captain America 100, various Transformers comics, some original 1950'S EC's, pre-hero Marvel, Golden Age Archie, various Hulk/Incredible Hulk, etc., etc.

[posted July 30, 2007] --- We have made a few major changes to the site, and added a substantial amount of important inventory...

   •     First, we have continued adding "in stock" items directly to the website. This latest batch included a few long boxes of various Gold, Silver, Bronze and Modern comic books. There were a few nice runs including Amazing Spider-man including #1 (1963), Spawn, Transformers (1984), and various 1950's EC Comics. One full box contained only major and minor key comics including Amazing Spider-man (1963) 1, Justice League of America (1960) 1, Conan 1, and about 150 more... CLICK HERE to see the what we added during our July 25, 2007 upload, and to see the keys. You can also keep an eye on our NEW ADDITIONS page to see our new "in stock" uploads, recent purchases, and what to expect during the next upload. That page was updated along with the upload.

   •     We also continued to improve the overall feel/look/function of our website. With out latest update, we will be adding "hot" linking throughout our site to some of our better populated titles, some of our better quality items, and possibly an extra search page or two to improve user navigation. We also began using our brand (OLDMOLD.com), with a new logo for our sites.

[posted June 12, 2007] --- During the past 4-6 weeks (and through the end of this week), you will notice some major upgrades to our site and inventory...

   •     First, we have continued adding "in stock" items directly to the website. This latest batch included about 7 long boxes of miscellaneous comic books from the Bronze to Modern Ages. Follow this link to see what we added during our JUNE 06, 2007 upload. You can also keep an eye on our NEW ADDITIONS page to see our new "in stock" uploads, recent purchases, and what to expect during the next upload. That page was updated along with the upload.

   •     We also continued to improve the overall feel/look/function of our website. With out latest update, we repriced all of our In-Stock items to bring them to a normal pricing level (this generally reduced our pricing on in-stock items).   •   "GO buttons" were replaced with direct linking from a title or issue for even better and even easier navigation   •   We created the ability for users to search for issue numbers within a title.   •   Various updates to pages throughout the site, including the main site home page, the comic book home page, our recent additions page, our news/announcements page, etc.   •   and more...

   •     One of our better site upgrades was our moving away from complicated lists of items (with a ton of buttons) after a search to a more stream-lined (search list then click to a detail page to order) system. This made all pages load faster, and will later allow us to provide images, and more specific information and tools when you find the items you are interested in ordering. It also made our site navigation more standard with todays larger internet retailers and marketplaces from various industries.   •

[posted April 17, 2007 and April 22, 2007] --- During the last couple weeks (and through the end of this week), you will notice two important areas of improvement...

   •     First, we have begun adding "in stock" items directly to the website. This batch included a few long boxes of miscellaneous Gold and Silver Age, with a bit of other stuff thrown in. Follow this link to see what we added during our APRIL 15, 2007 upload. You can also keep an eye on our NEW ADDITIONS page to see our new "in stock" uploads, recent purchases, and what to expect during the next upload.

   •     We have also been working to improve the overall feel/look/function of our website. During the last week or so, and the next couple weeks to come, you will notice some of the following changes:   •   "GO buttons" directly from a title for cleaner and easier navigation   •   "In Stock" search capability (so users can search for all items, or just items in stock, or all titles, or just titles with in stock items in them)   •   Various updates to pages throughout the site, including the main site home page, the comic book home page, our recent additions page, our news/announcements page, etc.   •   and more...

   •     Another neat item we have added is our new "MAKE us an OFFER" buttons. You may make offers on "in-stock" items as well as on prices to reserve copies that have not been inventoried into our website yet. Reasonable offers are often accepted, especially on larger orders/items... and especially on "in-stock" items.

[posted January 24, 2007] --- MOVING FORWARD... We should begin "real-time" displaying items that are currently inventoried mid/late February, or early March. This is going to be an ongoing slow but steady process of uploading our huge inventory to the website in batches. Up first will be a mix of one or two thousand miscellaneous Silver and Golden age (pre-1970) comics. A little of this, a little of that... some EC's, some super hero, horror, crime, movie/tv, funny animal, esoteric material, some minor keys, and a variety of conditions (including reading copies, and some nice high grade material). Keep an eye on this page and our NEW ADDITIONS page beginning mid/late February, or early March 2007 for groups of titles/items marked as in inventory.

[posted late November, 2006] --- Users of Unlimitus.com free email can access your email account by CLICKING HERE, or following the link at the top right of most pages.

[posted late November, 2006] --- GETTING BETTER... Completely new look for the website - including much better navigation. Added search functionality, including search by title. More features coming over the next few months... Next ongoing project on the agenda: begin "real-time" displaying items that are currently inventoried - the structure is complete, but it will take time to mark items for the system to understand as to their availability. Keep an eye on this page and our NEW ADDITIONS page beginning January(?) 2007 for groups of titles/items marked as in inventory. Also, we plan to slowly work in some smaller, but important features throughout the site such as more search capability, different product category group sections (trade paperbacks, CGC material, pedigrees, etc.), sets/sales, images of select items for sale, and direct links to various product.

[posted Sept. 17, 2006] --- HUGE SITE UPGRADE COMING NOW... We recently completed a major structural upgrade to our website and inventory systems (we have been working on this for most of 2006). You will begin to notice these changes beginning in September/October 2006, and growing through the end of 2006. Here's some of the major changes you will see as we upgrade our site: 1) Data driven inventory system. This will allow far, far faster and better search and navigation capabilities for our users including search by title, general search, search by publisher, etc. -- No more paging one page at a time!! 2) We will be restructuring our listings to show items that are currently in stock (and inventoried) versus items that may or may not be in stock for reserving. This will be an ongoing and longer term project, but will allow end users to see items that are available now. This will become more clear as we update the site. 3) We've nearly doubled the amount of listings available for ordering. If you thought we had a lot of material to choose from before, just wait - we're quickly approaching 2 million different listings in various conditions/condition ranges... stay tuned.

[posted early 2006] --- During January 2006 we added hundreds of thousands of back issue comics to our website listed in up to 6 different grade ranges as well as comic related magazines, trade paperbacks, international comics, undergrounds, etc., etc. We now have (by far) the largest selection of back issue comic books available on the internet. We're not done yet... we are constantly updating our site, and will be working to add many enhancements to the structure of the site (better search capability, cleaner design, etc.), as well as improvements to our selection such as: pedigree material, CGC and 3rd party graded comics, sales/sets/lots/specials, related material like comic related movies, etc.

[about us] --- Welcome to our online store front - Order with confidence. Full-time, experienced, and licenced business. Multiple Comics Buyer's Guide Customer Service awards. We've been selling comics at shows, through the mail, and/or the internet for over 19 years, with partial and full page ads in industry publications spanning that period. Our websites have evolved slowly but surely since 1999 into what you see now. Our online catalog currently contains nearly 2 million listings in various conditions and/or grade ranges.

CURRENT INVENTORY NEWS:

***SITE NOTICE: At the moment, we are running low on comics and magazines produced outside the United States (British comics, Italian comics, etc.). We are also running low on different giveaways, and variants. Also, low grade (Fine or lower) modern issues (1980 to present) are always fairly hard to come by on a regular basis. If you plan to order a small quantity of these, please email us for availability first.
